Worried You'll Miss Something?

Setting up consistent notifications on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter is harder than it should be. Especially if you're on the wrong side of the digital divide.

If you want alerts when new songs and stuff are added - and who wouldn't - okay, there are many who wouldn't but at last a few who would - follow these instructions for updates on your channels of choice.


Email - This one's easy.

  1. Click here or on Contact above to go to the Contact page.
  2. Send me a request with your email address and I'll add you to the list.
  3. Keep an eye on your Spam/Junk folders or add richard@prettygoodamericansongbook.com to your list of accepted senders.

Facebook - As mysterious as the pyramids of Egypt.

  1. Click here to go to the Pretty Good American Songbook Facebook page.
  2. Click Following.
  3. Click the little down arrow next to Following.
  4. Click the little pencil next to Notifications.
  5. Select Standard.
  6. Click Done.

YouTube - There are nuances. 

  1. Click here to go to the Pretty Good American Songbook YouTube channel.
  2. Click Subscribe. You'll need a Gmail or YouTube account.
  3. Click the bell icon to switch between receiving “All notifications” and “Occasional notifications.”
  4. You'll see a pop-up confirming your notification setting

Twitter - Fairly straightforward

  1. Log in to your Twitter account.
  2. Click the profile icon and select Settings and Privacy from the drop down menu.
  3. Click on Email notifications from the settings sidebar.
  4. Check or uncheck the notification boxes to reflect your email preferences.
  5. Click Save changes.
  6. Click here to go to the Pretty Good American Songbook Twitter page. 
  7. Click Follow. 
  8. For mobile push notifications click on the three small menue buttons next two Following and select turn on mobile notifications.
